“A musical, magnetic portrait” - The Guardian

Winner of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival’s Jury Grand Prix, 6-time awardee at the 2017 Africa Movie Academy Awards (best film, best actress, best supporting actor, best editing, best soundtrack, and best film in an African language), and shortlisted as Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards, Félicité is a portrait of proud, free-willed woman working (played by Véro Tshanda Beya) as a singer in a bar in Kinshasa, Congo. Her life is thrown into turmoil when her 14-year-old son falls victim to an accident. To save him, she sets out on a breakneck race through the streets of Kinshasa.
